A press tour of Polish journalists in the North Caucasus ended on September 17. This trip had been organized by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund with the support of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Chechen Republic.

Expert on the issues of media security Tigran Kocharyan shared his impressions about the press tour to the Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic in an exclusive interview to IA Novosti Pridnestrvya. According to the journalist, he was surprised by friendliness and openness of people in Trans-Dniester, ranging from ordinary citizens of the republic to governmental officials, who all the participants of the press tour were able to meet.
Correspondent of “Russian Planet” Darya Andreyeva, who had visited Trans-Dniester as part of the press tour for foreign journalists, arranged with support of the Gorchakov Fund, shared her impressions about the republic in the interview to “Novosti Pridnestrovya”.
In the beginning of September, Transdniestrian Humanitarian Foundation with support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund arranged a one-week “International press tour for journalists from the CIS and neighboring states”. The goal of the visit by representatives of print and TV media from several countries of the post-Soviet space was providing objective coverage of political, social and economic life of the republic.
President of Trans-Dniester Yevgeniy Shevchuk met with journalists from the CIS and neighboring states – participants of the International Press Tour to Trans-Dniester. The meeting was held in a free communication format. The representatives of mass media were interested in the situation inside and outside of Trans-Dniester.
