A regular participant of the Potsdam Meetings co-authered a report about elections to the German Bundestag

In advance of the parliamentary elections in Germany, employees of the Institute for International Studies at MGIMO University of Russia and the Eurasian Strategies Agency developed report "Elections to the Bundestag 2021. A Guide". Authors analyzed the current balance of power in German politics, problems and opportunities of parties participating in the election race and also evaluated importance of the coming elections for Russian-German relations.

Regular attendee of the Potsdam Meetings, research fellow at the Center for European Studies at the Institute for International Studies Artem Sokolov co-authered the report.

"To those, who do not follow German politics, elections to the Bundestag might seem extremely complicated, confusing and quite boring. We were trying to change that perspective in our report, identify important information from the general news stream about parties and candidates, and suggest reference points which will allow to make the most reasonable conclusions about results of the voting and prospects of development of Germany and Russian-German relations", mentioned Sokolov.

On November 8-9, the Gorchakov Fund in partnership with the German-Russian Forum will host two events in a hybrid format: the XXVI Potsdam Meetings and the VIII Youth Forum of the Potsdam Meetings. The topic of the coming events is "After the elections: What will change in Russian-German relations?"
