NATO began conducting large-scale military exercises in the Black Sea – Sea Breeze maneuvers. During the coming three weeks, NATO allied forces from 30 countries will be conducting drills at sea, in the air and on land. Ukrainian and Georgian military forces will participate in the training. The Ministry of Defense of Russia believes that the real goal of the maneuvers is to hide a delivery of arms to Ukraine to be used in Donbas. The ministry expects provocations and is prepared for a rapid response.
How should Russia react to those maneuvers? Will strengthening of the NATO missile potential in Eastern Europe and situation in the Black Sea result in explosion? What goal did the British warship pursue when entering our territorial waters on June 23? Is it possible to see behind the London's actions a desire to drag Moscow into a military conflict by using others?
Deputy Director at the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies of the Faculty Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at HSE University, Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at HSE University, Deputy Director of Research at the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy Dmitry Suslov will answer these and other questions during the "Expert's Opinion" show.
The event will be available to watch live online tomorrow at 6:00 pm (Moscow Standard Time) on the Facebook page of the Gorchakov Fund.
