The Gorchakov Fund took part in the "Gagarin" Conference

On September 14, the State Space Corporation Roskosmos hosted the International "Gagarin" Conference celebrating the 60th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. Representatives of the Gorchakov Fund attended the event.

On April 12, 1961 Soviet spacecraft Vostok 1 took space pilot Yuri Gagarin to the Earth's orbit, thus, opening a way to research of outer space for humankind.

During the event, representatives of Roskosmos Corporation, the China Manned Space Agency, NASA, the European Space Agency, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Indian Space Research Organization emphasized the role of Vostok 1 in development of the world manned cosmonautics and also mentioned a growing need for international cooperation in the outer space.

According to the experts, one of the most important areas of activities of the aerospace community is to inspire youth, students and young experts fo research of the outer space in the future.

The main message of presentations by the participants was that human beings are discovering the Universe and traveling to the outer space to bring good to the Earth.
