A call for applications for “Foreign Affairs” block at the Academy of Journalism “Kommersant”

On July 6-11, series of meetings with experts in international relations and master classes taught by leading Russian journalists for representatives of foreign mass media speaking Russian will be held within the framework of the Academy of Journalism “Kommersant” with support of the Gorchakov Fund.


A 3-month training course at the Academy consists of 3 stages: “Society”, “Economy” and “Politics”, which will be curated correspondingly by Victor Loshak, Dmitry Butrin and Azer Mursaliyev.


Block “Foreign Affairs”, organized by the Gorchakov Fund, is planned to be held between stages “Society” and “Politics”.


An international group of journalists has an opportunity to study at the Academy for the first time.


Mode of study – full-time (from 11:00 to 17:00 Moscow time)


  • Lectures and master classes taught by leading politicians, economists and public figures
  • Lectures and master classes taught by leading specialists of Publishing House “Kommersant”
  • Lectures and master classes on international relations, foreign policy and public diplomacy
  • Classes, preparation and review of practical assignments

After completing the studies, all the participants of the international group will receive official certificate of the Academy of Journalism Ъ.


Basic requirements for participation:


  • Work experience in mass media not less than 3 years
  • Actual publications on international problems
  • A motivation letter
  • Foreign citizenship or nationality
  • Under 35 years of age


  • Free tuition;
  • The Gorchakov Fund covers accommodation expenses;
  • Transfer expenses – paid by the participants.
