A master class on the topic of engaging Russian NGOs into international activities was held at forum Soobshchestvo

Forum of active citizens Soobshchestvo, the second one this year, was held in Omsk. Main goals of the forum are studying dynamics of a non-profit sector in the Siberian Federal District, discussing existing problems, searching for possible ways to solve them and support the most efficient practices of civil involvement.


Representatives from hundreds of NGOs as well as federal and regional authorities and businesses became participants of the event, organized the by the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.


A master class on the topic of engaging Russian non-profit organizations into international activities and promotion of interests of Russia on major platforms using potential of a public sector was held within the framework of the forum. A representative of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund participated as one of the speakers at the session.

A proposal on including a section about international activities of NGOs into the Concept of Development of a Non-Profit Sector, which has been developed on the platform of peripheral fora Soobshchestvo during this year, was made at the forum. That document is expected to be presented to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
