A speech by Aza Migranyan completed series of lectures “Lessons of the Future" in Yerevan

The last lecture of this academic year of the series “Lessons of the Future” was held. Head of the Economic Research Unit at the CIS Institute Professor Aza Migranyan (PhD in Economics) made a presentation on prospects of development of Eurasian and European vectors of the Armenian economy at the Analytical Center Amberd under Armenian State University of Economics.


The expert discussion was held with participation of experts from the Amberd Center under leadership of Professor Samvel Avetisyan, Professor Ashot Tavadyan, students of ASUE and permanent participants of the series of lectures. Issues related to strengthening of economic presence of countries-partners of the EEU, development of all-round cooperation among the republics, importance of production of processed goods for development of the economy of the Republic of Armenia, and re-orientation of investments from Russia and other countries in order to achieve multiway integration were covered in the course of the discussion.


Aza Migranyan mentioned importance of realizing national interests by a political elite of any country and linking that realization with relevant actions in an economic sphere as pragmatics suggests lack of prospects of certain initiatives targeting economic development.

The series of lectures “Lessons of the Future” provided positive experience for development of a multisided perspective on problems and prospects for development of Eurasian and regional integration processes by holding events on a regular basis. Cooperation among experts of different generations is also needed to maintain  cooperation in various fields of science as well as popularization of scientific topics in the Eurasian space.
