A team from the village school in Kazakhstan becomes a winner of the II International Diplomatic Games

A final round of the II International Diplomatic Games – the largest project of the Faculty of Eurasia and East in the field of diplomacy and international relations – took place at Chelyabinsk State University. The contest, organized with the support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, was dedicated to the Diplomat’s Day, which is celebrated on February 10.

As it was mentioned at CSU, the contestants had demonstrated the highest level of knowledge, creativeness and originality in all the contests.

The teams answered questions, participated in discussions at the international conference and corrected mistakes in a diplomatic letter while demonstrating knowledge and expertise. During the presentations of the final contest “Address to the Global Community” the participants urged to stop wars, terror, destruction of the environment and drug trafficking.

The expert panel included diplomats and governmental officials. The presentations of the contestants were evaluated by Advisor to Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund Yuri Zhmurko; First Vice President of the South-Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry, veteran of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, certified international expert in intergovernmental cooperation and external economic affairs (the EUROCHAMBRES Academy), Deputy Chairman of the Civic Chamber of the Chelyabinsk region Igor Aristov; First Vice Rector of CSU Andrey Petrov; Senior Expert in External Communications of RT Anna Belyakova; Dean of the Faculty of Eurasia and East of CSU, expert of the Civic Chamber of the Chelyabinsk region Elvina Yagnakova; Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies, Political Science and Eastern Philosophy at CSU Galina Sachko.

A team from secondary school # 1 from Saumalkol (Kazakhstan), which had demonstrated the highest level of knowledge in all the contests and had received the highest number of point, became a  winner of the II International Diplomatic Games. The second place was taken by team “New Generation” (Surgut, Russia), the third place – by team SeveNIS from Kokshetau in Kazakhstan. The additional contest of video addresses was won by “Gryzuny Granita Nauki” (Moldova).
