A traditional meeting of Russian and Georgian political scientists took place in Tbilisi

On February 25, the VI Russian-Georgian meeting of young political scientists dedicated to new challenges in the region of South Caucasus opened in Tbilisi. It is taking place within the framework of the project “Russian-Georgian Dialogue for Peace and Cooperation”. Organizers of the event are the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and the Center for Cultural Relations “Caucasian House”.


Experts will discuss burning issues of Russia-Georgian relations as well as problems in the field of economy, energy and security at the roundtables in Tbilisi and Bakuriani.


The agenda of the first day will be opened by a meeting with Deputy Head of the Department for Security Policy and Euro-Atlantic Integration Tornike Perulava at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. The participants will discuss the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of Tbilisi.


After that, the participants will have a conversation with Head of the International Relations Program of the School of Law and Politics Tornike Sharashenidze at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA). Regional challenges and issues of security in Georgia are planned to be discussed at the meeting.


The joint project of the Gorchakov Fund and Caucasian House – Russian-Georgian Dialogue for Peace and Cooperation – has been implemented since 2013. You can read about past meetings of the experts from the two countries on the website of the Gorchakov Fund.
