Applications to attend the PIR Center International School on Global Security are still being accepted
The Anniversary 20th International School on Global Security organized by the PIR Center will take place on September 26 — October 4, 2020.
The PIR Center International School on Global Security is a unique platform where young politicians, diplomats, military and civil servants, journalists, scholars, and students expand the scope of their professional knowledge and further their education. The School is intended for those who strive to build expertise and improve professional skills and contribute to a more secure world.
Time spent at the School will allow young international relations experts, using a dialogue format, to understand current events and trends of international security, approaches of the CIS states and other countries, approaches of international organizations to resolution of regional and global problems, to study existing experience and together with their colleagues, representing different professional fields, to compare that to their own vision of the future of the global security.
The agenda includes:
remote study of literature and media materials;
lectures and master classes;
meetings with famous diplomats and scientists.
Working language of the School is Russian. Participants should be fluent in both Russian and English.
Instructors – top Russian and foreign experts, representatives of government agencies, think tanks and companies.
25 diplomats, officers, civil servants, international relations scholars, journalists, graduate students, and undergraduate students from CIS, Europe, the USA, SCO and BRICS countries.
The School takes place in the ancient Russian city of Zvenigorod. Near the city there are unique monuments of the Russian spiritual culture, the Savvino-Storozhesky and Novoirerusalimsky monasteries, places connected with life of the Russian writers and composers.
The School was organized by ANO “PIR Center” in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and with the support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, the Presidential Grants Foundation and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
Terms of participation
Thanks to support of the partners, representatives of government agencies, scientific and educational institutions from all CIS states will attend the School for free. Travel expenses to/from Moscow for out-of-town participants will be covered by a delegating party. The PIR Center might consider a possibility of covering travel costs for certain participants from countries of Central Asia and other regions based on their applications.
The package of a participant includes: educational program, distribution materials and literature, receptions and tours, accommodation in comfortable double rooms, three meals per day (buffet), transfer from Moscow to Zvenigorod and back, and visa support (if needed).
Deadline to submit applications – 11:59 pm on June 30, 2020.
