Call for applications to attend the International School “Studia Baltica”

31 July 2020

Starting from July 28, 2020 the International Youth School “Studia Baltica” – Media Assessment of the Eurasian Integration” began accepting applications. The event will take place at the premises of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad). The school was organized with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund is a media partner of the event.

We believe that in the nearest future the Russian borders will open and the school will be able to host students from abroad.

5 reasons to attend the school:

  • The school will be held in Kaliningrad at the premises of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University on September 6-13, 2020. It continues the good tradition and will become the anniversary, tenth school;

  • It is not a routine event for the organizers of the school, but a certain kind of a “hand-crafted product”, which will be made not just with mind, but with soul;

  • During the school, the participants will be offered not just a busy agenda, but an intensive entertainment program. Kaliningrad is located within half-an-hour trip from the Baltic Sea, which pleases the eye and even in September can still be warm (no guarantees!);

  • The organizers are very knowledgeable in the media agenda and have also invited experts, who know almost everything about the media;

  • The Organizing Committee will cover travel expenses for the participants, who will write the best essay (see “Terms of Participation”).

Main topics of the school:

  1. “Russian in the global world: new challenges and opportunities”;

  2. “Storytelling: how will it be in Russian?”

  3. “Life on the Internet: new environment of the human habitat”;

  4. “Who lives on the Internet: analysis of the social media audience”;
