Closing of the last publications in Russian in Estonia. Experts’ opinions

30 September 2016

Closing of the last newspapers, published in Russian on the territory of the republic, has become a major loss for the Russian world in Estonia. In the country, where Russian is a native language of one third of the population and where youth is not interested in Russian-language newspapers, interests of an older generation are not taken into account. However, it seems like the newspapers themselves can be blamed for what is going on. Nikita Golubkov, Andrey Rezchikov and Mikhail Moshkin write about that for electronic publication VZGLYAD.
