Conference “International Uncertainty – 2018” is taking place at MGIMO with the support of the Gorchakov Fund

On December 13, Foreign Policy Advisory Group and MGIMO (U) under MFA of Russia with the support of the Gorchakov Fund are holding conference and workshop on the problems of forecasting international processes “International Uncertainty – 2018”.

Modern experience of forecasting international policy, accumulated by top teams of analysts in Russia and abroad, will be discussed at the forum.

The first session of the conference is dedicated to methods of forecasting foreign affairs. Authors of successful forecasts of the recent years will present their results.

The second session will include a symposium on the problems of forecasting and it will be attended by top analysts from Russia, US, Japan, Great Britain, Ukraine and other countries. The participants of the session will discuss what existing approaches to forecasting are applied in practice. 

During the final session analysts of Foreign Policy Advisory Group will evaluate success of the last-year forecast “International Threats – 2017” and will present a new forecast of major issues of international stability and security for the next year “International Threats – 2018”.
