Ivan Preobrazhensky: Europeans are afraid of “neighbor Khassan”

24 July 2015

The European Union was able to settle only two-thirds of a total number of refugees, which today are located on the territories of Italy and Greece, i.e. a little over 40 000 people. And 20 000 more are left without temporary residential registration. However, numbers differ and the meeting was a closed one. Thus, Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Chovanec told journalists after the consultations that they were able to “rehouse” about 32 000 applicants and 8 000 more will stay in Greece and Italy for now. Their fate will be decided in the nearest months, observer of ROSBALT Ivan Preobrazhensky writes.
