June 30. The meeting of Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of the Russian Federation
On June 30, President of Russia Vladimir Putin made a speech at the 8th Meeting of Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of the Russian Federation, which was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The head of the state said:
“Dear colleagues, I am happy to welcome you at our traditional meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And, above all, I would like to thank leadership and a team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, employees of the foreign administrative apparatus for professionalism and high level of devotion and express confidence that you will continue working as efficiently and as a team.
Russia is pursuing an independent and individual foreign policy, and is trying to build open, honest cooperation with all the countries – in the west, in the east, in the south, and in the north – and speaks for development of mutually beneficial, constructive connections in different areas. Besides, we impose neither our will, nor our values on anyone; we steadily follow norms of international law, we consistently support a key role of the United Nations Organization and the Security Council in solving global and regional issues.
