Konstantin Kosachev: The patient is rather dead

12 March 2015

A decision made by Russia to stop its participation in the meetings of the Joint Consultative Group on the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe starting March 11 is, in fact, technical and there is no sense to look for big politics here. This result is some kind of revision of what is working in Europe and what is not, and it only creates an illusion of existence of some type of negotiation basis, which provides security in Europe. This does not exist and one needs to face the truth. This was written by Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council, member of the Management Board of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund Konstantin Kosachev.
