Leonid Grigoryev told Georgian students about the economic policy of modern Russia

A lecture by Leonid Grigoryev, a Russian expert, Head of the Department of World Economy at the Research National University Higher School of Economics (HSE), Head of the Academic Department of World Economy at the Faculty of World Economy of HSE and Chief Counselor at the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, was delivered at the Georgian-Russian/Russian-Georgian Public Center in Tbilisi.


Within the framework of the visit, Leonid Grigoryev and Head of the Department of Innovations and Strategic Development of Caucasus International University Alexander Rusetsky held a press conference at the Tbilisi international press center of International News Agency “Rossia segodnya”.


Leonid Grigoryev answered questions of the journalists about Russia-Georgian trade and economic relations and about the global situation in regards to prices of energy resources.


Later the expert held a meeting with students of Caucasus International University and Georgian American University. The topic of the meeting was “Economic policy of the Russian Federation in 2015 under the sanctions of the West and instability on the market of energy resources”. Leonid Grigoryev prepared a presentation on “Russia and Georgia – economic realities”.

Questions from the audience were mostly about the negotiations between the Government of Georgia and Gazprom, held last month, on export of Georgian products to the Russian market, the Eurasian Economic Union and transformation of the economy during 1980-1990.
