Member of the Gorchakov Fund’s Club of Friends Alikhan Israilov represented Chechnya at the international expert forum in Belgorod

International Expert Forum “Public Diplomacy: Regional Dimension” was held in Belgorod. Over 200 participants from 15 neighboring countries and beyond as well as from 20 regions of Russia took part in the forum organized by the Institute of Cross-Border Cooperation and Integration with support of the All-Russian Public Organization The Society “Znanie” of Russia and the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.


The Chechen Republic was represented by Deputy Head of the Department of Social Programs at the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Chechen Republic and member of the Gorchakov Fund’s Club of Friends Alikhan Israilov, IA Grozny-Inform writes.


Roundtable “Public Diplomacy as an Instrument of Cross-Border Cooperation in the Eurasian Union” was held on the first day of the forum. Consul General of the Russian Federation in Kharkov Sergey Semenov and representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Laptev participated in the event as guests of honor.


A video presentation of the project “Interactive Model for Development of Public Diplomacy of the CIS Member-States” was also included in the agenda of the forum and representatives of the Association of European Border Regions – Secretary General Martín Guillermo Ramirez and Head of Task Force “External Borders” Johannes Moisio – participated as speakers.
