Participants of the meeting, held by the Gorchakov Fund, signed for an agreement with Iran
Over a hundred former US ambassadors signed a letter addressed to President Barack Obama on Thursday supporting a nuclear agreement with Iran.
The letter signees support participation of the US Congress in consideration of the agreement and its implementation. They also urge the Congress to carefully consider whether any opportunities exist to limit the Iranian nuclear program by using means other than military power.
Many US diplomats, famous in the past, including former Under Secretary of State Nicholas Burns and Frank Wisner, former Ambassadors to Israel and Afghanistan Daniel Kurtzer and Ryan Crocker, signed the letter. In addition to that, former Ambassadors to Moscow Thomas Pickering, Jack Matlock, James Collins ad John Byerly also signed it.
