Who are Russian compatriots? What can interest them in modern Russia? Why does “soft power” in the form of support to Russian-speaking activists and close cooperation with non-governmental organizations is sometimes more effective than official measures taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? These and other questions were discussed in Krasnodar within the framework of the discussion platform “The role of compatriots in establishing a common Russian civil identity”.
