Prospects of strategic autonomy for the European Union will be discussed at the Primakov Readings

On July 18, the fourth online session of the Primakov Readings “The EU of a New Generation”, Strategic Autonomy: Myths or Reality?” will take place at Interfax news agency. A joint project of IMEMO RAS and Interfax has been implemented with the support of the Gorchakov Fund. A series of online meetings with experts, politicians and public activists will be organized as part of the project at the premises of the news agency. Important problems of international relations and world economy during the periods of crises will be discussed.

The following speakers will take part in the event:

  • Nadezhda Arbatova, Head of the Department for European Political Studies at IMEMO RAS;

  • Yury Kvashnin, Head of the Center for European Studies at IMEMO RAS;

  •  Andrey Spartak, Director of All-Russian Scientific Market Research Institute.

Moderator – Mikhail Shvydkoy, Special Presidential Representative for International Cultural Cooperation.

Director of the Department of European Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Nikolay Kobrinets will participate in the discussion.
