Representatives of Moldova, Great Britain and Serbia will receive funding for their projects from the Gorchakov Fund

Results of the grant contest, organized by the Gorchakov Fund for participants from foreign countries, were summarized on the sidelines of International Youth Educational Forum “Eurasia”, which took place on September 4-10 in Orenburg.

Out of 80 applications 20 projects were selected for participation in the in-person stage of the competition. Presentations and defense of the projects were taking place during two days. The contest committee included representatives of the Gorchakov Fund, Rossotrudnichestvo and the National Youth Council of Russia. It was even harder to choose the best from the best. Nevertheless, names of the winners were announced on September 9 during the closing ceremony of forum “Eurasia”.

Alexander Melnichuk (Moldova) became a winner of the 300 000 rubles grant. The Gorchakov Fund will support a project of the 1st Youth Forum “Eurasian Perspective”. The event will take place in August of 2019 in Kishinev and will unite representatives of youth NGOs, young leaders from Transdniester and Gagauzia with the purpose of consolidating and exchanging experience among youth organizations and movements.

The second grant of 200 000 rubles went to the project “Young Europe and Russia – Trends, Practice and Development Criteria” presented by Sergey Buravlev (Great Britain). Young leaders, politicians, entrepreneurs and scientists from Europe and Russia will become participants of the event organized as a roundtable. The roundtable will provide a platform for a discussion of current issues of international cooperation in confronting traditional and new challenges and threats.

Yanic Milica (Serbia) will receive financial support in the amount of 200 000 rubles as an author of the project “A Conference of Young Leaders from Russia and Serbia, Dedicated to the 180th Anniversary of Establishing Diplomatic Relations between the Countries”.
