Results of the Primakov Competition of Analytical Papers on the Middle East were announced
The Expert Committee of the 3rd Primakov International Competition of Student Scientific and Analytical Papers on the Middle East has summarized preliminary results of the contest. A list of finalists can be found here. The winners will be announced at the Moscow conference on March 29, 2019.
The organizers made specific mention of participation of the last-year winners in the 3rd Primakov International Competition of Student Scientific and Analytical Papers on the Middle East.
The Expert Committee invited the winners of the 2nd competition to take part in a series of consultative workshops and the conference as guests of honor and to present their reports to the colleagues.
Overall, 112 applications had been received: from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and several Russian cities: Moscow, Kazan, St. Petersburg. Sevastopol, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan, Elektrostal, Yoshkar-Ola, Volgograd, Taganrog, Stavropol, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk and Orel.
In addition to the winners, the Expert Committee decided to award five authors with a special prize – participation in the meetings with experts-Orientalists during the series of consultative workshops on March 30 2019.
The winners of the 3rd Primakov International Competition of Student Scientific and Analytical Papers on the Middle East will be announced at the conference on Friday, March 29, which will take place in Moscow at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The organizers invite all those, who have not won, but participated in the competition, to present results of their research at the conference.
We would like to remind that all events within the framework of the competition were organized by the Primakov Center for International Cooperation and the Center of Oriental Studies, International Relations and Public Diplomacy in collaboration with the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and with the support of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
