Russia and Iran are discussing a channel from the Caspian Sea into the Persian Gulf again – an ambassador

11 April 2016

Russia and Iran are discussing a channel from the Caspian Sea into the Persian Gulf again. This will provide Russia with the shortest access to the Indian Ocean basin bypassing the Turkish strait. Turkey and the U.S. will obviously not like the restoration of the project, VZGLYAD writes.
