Sergey Lavrov used the Gorchakov Fund as an example of new forms of work with the youth

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov met with the youth at Belarusian State University in Minsk.


During the meeting, the head of the Foreign Service was asked the following question: “These days much is said about new forms of work with the youth. What new forms do you see?”


Sergey Lavrov mentioned a need to meet more often. “We encourage similar youth formats in every way”, he added


“Thus, for example, the Gorchakov Fund, which focuses on providing grants to NGOs to develop international connections, was established in the Russian Federation. Within the framework of the Fund, youth from different educational institutions of the CIS countries is invited to the Russian Federation on a regular basis. I meet with them, they visit different ministries, public organizations, travel around the Russian Federation. Given the will and the money, of course. It is always interesting to work with young colleagues”, Sergey Lavrov said.
