“Sport of the Highest Achievements in International Relations. The Other Side of the Medal”. A lecture by world champion Polina Gruzdeva at the Gorchakov Fund
The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund invites you to attend a lecture by Polina Gruzdeva “Sport of the Highest Achievements in International Relations. The Other Side of the Medal”, which will take place in Moscow on December 10.
As soon as sport reached a certain level of popularity, it has become an important tool of the foreign policy. Today sport is not completely independent, it is limited by an established political and economic framework. Currently utilization of sport and sports diplomacy as means of “soft power” is effective for achieving foreign policy goals by only certain countries. International sports events represent space for confrontation of geopolitical interests. Sport of the highest achievements can be called one of the centers of international tensions.
These and many other topics will be discussed by Dr. Polina Gruzdeva, International Master of Sports, winner of numerous FIG international competitions in rhythmic gymnastics, world champion in aesthetic group gymnastics as part of the Russian team, gymnastics judge of the highest national category (Austria) and member of the Organizing Committee of the Annual International Tournament in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Vienna.
Venue: Gorchakov Fund (10/1 Yakovoapostolsky pereulok, Moscow).
The event will start on December 10 at 7:00 pm Moscow time (registration will open at 6:30 pm Moscow time).
The language of the event is Russian (without interpretation).
The number of seats is limited.
