The 2nd International Contest of Student Scientific and Analytical Papers on Balkan Problems began
The Primakov Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation in collaboration with the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund invite Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students, as well as young experts specialized in the Balkan region issues to participate in the International Contest of Student Scientific and Analytical Papers on Balkan Problems dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the NATO’s aggression against Yugoslavia and an analysis of the events of those years.
The general topic of the contest: “Influence of external factors on internal processes in the Balkan region in the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century”.
Applicants will choose their own topics of research to participate in the contest. The papers should comply with research requirements and demonstrate a high analytical level, original ideas and knowledge of a systematic approach.
The goal of the contest is to select the most active and interested young experts from Russia and other countries as well as to strengthen multilateral international cooperation aimed at preservation of the world order.
Requirements to the applicants: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students, post-graduates and young experts specialized in the Balkan region issues from different countries, ages 18-30, with the knowledge of Russian or English.
In order to participate in the project, the applicants should send a message at firstname.lastname@example.org, mention “The 2nd Contest on Balkan Problems” in the subject of the message and attach the following materials:
an article in the Word format;
an application form.
Paper requirements: language of the article – Russian or English; size – 5-8 pages; shrift – Times New Roman, shrift size – 14, line spacing – single, no spaces between paragraphs. Materials provided with the application should be original. Use of materials written by other authors without a reference to the source is not allowed. Papers received after the deadline and papers that do not meet the above mentioned requirements will not be accepted.
Deadline to submit applications – April 26, 2019. The results will be announced by May 5, 2019.
The Organizing Committee will select ten best papers and their authors will receive certificates and an invitation to attend the conference, which will be held based on results of the contest. The conference will take place in Moscow on May 23, 2019. The organizes will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the participants of the conference.
Two winners, which will be selected based on results of the conference, will be awarded with memorable gifts and an opportunity to attend several events in Belgrade (Serbia) dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia.
