The Caucasus Dialogue – 2016 is opening in Grozny on July 26!


The annual international research and educational project of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund will be held this time with support of the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Chechen Republic.


The main topic of the discussions is “Caucasus and Global Turbulence”. Young political scientists, journalists, scholars, students and post-graduates as well as representatives of federal and regional governmental agencies from Russia, Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and South Ossetia will discuss problems of national security, economy and a social sphere, issues of war on terrorism and extremism, external and internal factors impacting the situation in the Caucasus region, and will evaluate prospects for international youth cooperation.


Experts of the Russian State University for Humanities, MGIMO, Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, and the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation will speak to the audience. Minister of National Policy, External Affairs, Press and Information of the Chechen Republic Jambulat Umarov will present a report “Chechnya: from the Territory of War to the Territory of Peace. A Strategy of Reconciliation”.


Roundtable “The Karabakh Conflict in the Regional Framework” and a conference of young foreign affairs experts from the countries of the Caucasus region have also been planned.


A part of the program will take place on the territory of Sports and Tourist Complex Kezenoy-Am.

The Caucasus Dialogue – 2016 will be completed on July 31.
