The Eurasian Youth Media School has ended in Minsk
The Eurasian Youth Media School has ended in Minsk. The School is a joint project of the Gorchakov Fund, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Center for Integration Prospects Studies and Center for Research of Union Integration “New Initiative”. It had brought together young journalists and foreign affairs experts from five EEU countries and Tajikistan interested in the problem of Eurasian integration.
The agenda of the event, which took place on March 24-29, consisted of lectures, discussions about problems and prospects of the EEU and training sessions on developing individual media and media resources.
Speakers of the School included Head of Directorate of Multimedia Centers MIA “Russia Today” Andrey Blagodyrenko, Belarusian TV anchor Vadim Gigin, representative of the Center for Post-Soviet Studies at IMEMO RAS Elena Kuzmina, Director of radio station “Armnews FM” Lika Tumanyan, expert of the National Energy Security Fund Igor Yushkov, General Director of Publishing House “Argumenty i Fakty” Ruslan Novikov, Chief Editor of “SONAR-2050” project Semen Uralov and others.
One of the landmark events of the agenda of the media school was a visit to the Memorial Complex “Khatyn” and the Mound of Glory to commemorate tragic events of the Great Patriotic War.
Using results of the group work, which was taking place during the whole event, the participants presented their own media projects dedicated to the problems of the Eurasian integration. The expert committee, which included the speakers of the media school, selected an expert survey aimed at debunking myths about the Eurasian Economic Union as the best material.
