The Gorchakov Fund brought foreign journalists for the first time to Academy “Kommersant”
On July 6, the Foreign Affairs Week begins within the framework of the Academy of Journalism “Kommersant” in Moscow. The Gorchakov Fund provided financial support to the reputable forum. As a result, for the first time in the history of the Academy foreign Russian-speaking journalists will take part in its program.
Series of meeting and lectures will be opened by political scientist, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Russia in Global Politics” Fedor Lukyanov. He will introduce the audience to priorities of the Russian foreign policy in a changing world. A group of Russian and foreign journalists will meet with Russian experts, political scientists and well-known public figures, and will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia and Russian News Agency TASS within the framework of the module “Foreign Affairs”. Russian Council on Foreign Affairs will also host the group from the Academy.
The guests of the Academy will meet with Russian President’s Envoy for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, Head of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev and First Deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS Mikhail Gusman. On July 10, the last day of the program, the Gorchakov Fund will hold a roundtable on the topic of soft power and mass media.
All the participants of the program will receive diplomas of the Academy of Journalism “Kommersant”.
