The Gorchakov Fund is participating in the 7th Baltic Forum of Compatriots
On October 5, the 7th Baltic Forum of Compatriots has opened in the Leningrad region. Deputy Executive Director of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund Roman Grishenin is attending the event.
The forum was organized by the Committee for Press and Public Relations of the Government of the Leningrad region. According to information provided by the organizers, the forum had brought together over 100 representatives from Russia and Baltic countries. The guests include editors-in-chief of top Russian-language media in the Baltic states, heads and activists of non-governmental organizations, human rights activists, governmental officials and parliamentarians of different levels. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Governor of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko will also take part in the discussion.
The discussion topics at the forum will include impact of NGOs of the compatriots in the EU countries, their media opportunities, potential for cooperation with each other in economic, cultural, educational fields as well as interregional ties.
