The Gorchakov Fund supported international school of youth journalism in Kaliningrad
V International Youth School of Studia Baltica “Modern Working Methods in Media Space” will take place in Kaliningrad on March 23-28. Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Center “Russian Baltics” and the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund are organizers of the event. Young journalists, students from departments of journalism (and other humanities departments), experts in the area of media communications and political scientists from Russia, the EU and countries of the post-Soviet space will become participants of sessions held on this popular platform for interaction of Russian and European youth communities.
Problems of confrontation between propaganda and journalism, a dialogue between the Eurasian Union and the European Union on media platforms, position of a journalist in information conflicts and a role of mass media in modern conditions are suggested to be discussed.
The sessions at school will be held by Dean of Department of International Journalism at MGIMO-U under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Jaroslav Skvorzov, expert of the Association of Near-Border Cooperation (Kazakhstan) Marat Shibutov, General Director of Information and Analytical Centre on Social and Political Processes in the Post-Soviet Space under Lomonosov Moscow State University Sergey Rekeda and other competent experts.
