The Gorchakov Fund took part in the opening of the Meeting of Compatriots in “Baltic Artek”

The III Meeting of Young Compatriots took place in Kaliningrad region on the platform of the International Youth Forum “Baltic Artek”. Organizer of the forum Rosmolodezh had prepared an ambitious educational program for participants of the meeting. The guests, represented by compatriots from 34 countries, were introduced to modern Russia, its history and rich cultural heritage.

 

Members of the intergovernmental Youth Council under the Government Commission on Compatriots Living Aboard met with the delegates. Mechanisms of interaction with young compatriots were discussed and experience of solving current problems of this cooperation was shared within the framework of the program.

 

Experts told about the national program promoting voluntary migration of compatriots, living abroad, to the Russian Federation, distribution of Russian literature and books about modern Russia, popularization of national cinematography abroad, construction of child care facilities, schools and training centers in other countries, and providing them with Russian teachers, press service of Rosomoldezh reports.

 

Deputy Executive Director of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund Roman Grishenin participated in the discussion. He introduced the participants of the meeting – leaders of NGOs, young entrepreneurs and social innovators, young scientists and people of culture and art, student from the best world’s universities – to activities of the Fund, its programs and projects, and history of work with youth public organizations from different countries.

 

Roman Grishenin answered numerous questions form the audience.


Representatives of public organizations, with which the Fund had developed productive partner relationships – Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia Grigory Petushkov and Deputy Director of the Center for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding Alexey Kornyushin – took part in the discussion.
