The Gorchakov Fund will host a presentation of the book by Vladimir Grinin “Duality of fate. How Russia and Germany will manage the future for their own and world’s benefit”

On September 30, the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund will host a book presentation by Soviet and Russian diplomat Vladimir Grinin “Duality of fate. How Russia and Germany will manage the future for their own and world’s benefit”.

Vladimir Grinin worked for many years in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and later in the united Germany. He knows this country very well, its traditions and modern life, its ethnical characteristics and achievements in different areas.

Mr. Grinin spent many years in the diplomatic service in European countries: he worked in GDR and FRG before the fall of the Berlin Wall as well as in the united Germany after 1990. During different periods of time, he served as an ambassador to Australia, Finland, Poland and Germany. In his book “Duality of fate. How Russia and Germany will manage the future for their own and world’s benefit”, the author writes about problems and prospects of relations between Moscow and Berlin, talks about outstanding representatives of German politics, business, science and culture.

The presentation is open to the public.

The event will start at 5:00 pm. Duration of the event – 2 hours.
