The Russian-Georgian Public Center congratulated veterans in Tbilisi on Victory Day and organized a gala concert
On May 9, a gala concert dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory took place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Vake Park in Tbilisi. It had been organized by the Primakov Russian-Georgian Public Center. Executive Director of the Center Dmitry Lortkipanidze addressed the guests with a welcome speech. He congratulated the veterans on Victory Day and emphasized the contribution made by Georgian people into the fight against fascism.
Singers Vakhtang Gordeli-Paliashvili and Koba Endeladze, invited to the concert, performed Georgian and Russian war songs, including “Those, who did not come back come”, “Sons are going to the war”, “Save our souls”, “Dark night” and others.
This year the 80th anniversary of Vladimir Vysotsky is celebrated. His songs, dedicated the war, were performed by Vakhtang Gordeli-Paliashvili and received a special applaud from the audience.
The gala concert lasted for over two hours. Yekaterina Aspanidze shared her own story about the war. She performed the song “I made you my hero”.
