The Russian-German Scientific Colloquium will held with the support of the Gorchakov Fund
On July 6, an anniversary meeting of the Joint Commission on Contemporary History Study of Russian-German Relations will be held at the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Gorchakov Fund.
The main topic of the meeting of the Russian-German Scientific Colloquium will be “The Russian Revolution of 1917”.
Many aspects of the history of the revolution, starting from historiography and concluding with its influence on different European countries and the overall course of global development in the 20th century, will be covered at the colloquium.
At the same time, an exhibit of books dedicated to the history of the revolution and published with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research will be opened.
Director of the Third European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia Sergey Nechayev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Russia Rudiger von Fritsch will speak at the opening of the colloquium.
Prominent representatives of historical studies from the two countries will become participants of the event.
