“The Shape of the Post-Coronavirus World Order”: a joint discussion of the Gorchakov Fund and Delovoy Peterburg

On April 24, online roundtable “The Shape of the Post-Coronavirus World Order” will be organized by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund in partnership with Delovoy Peterburg newspaper and the Center for International and Regional Policy.

Participants of the discussion will include: Andras Racz (German Council on Foreign Relations, Berlin), Alexander Graef (Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy, Hamburg University), Nikolay Kapitonenko (Institute of International Relations, Kiev), James Nixey (Royal Institute of International Relations, London),  Tony van der Togt (Netherlands Institute of International Relations, Hague), Frederic Labarre (Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston), and Benyamin Poghosyan (Center for Political and Economic Strategic Studies, Yerevan).

The experts will attempt to answer the following questions:

  • How can the balance of power change in the word during the post-coronavirus period and what will be the role of Russia in the new alignment of forces?
  • What will be the influence of the pandemic on the globalization process and intensification of the Chinese-U.S. competition?
  • Is rapprochement between Russia and the EU a possibility?
  • G-20 or G-7: what format will be more effective in front of the global threat?
