Ways of developing youth cooperation were suggested at the Russian-Azerbaijani Youth Forum held with participation of the Gorchakov Fund
The IV Russian-Azerbaijani Youth Forum has ended in Kazan. Its organizers were the Association of Public Organizations “National Youth Council of Russia” with support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Rosmolodezh, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The forum was held in partnership with the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia and the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
A delegation of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund took part in the conference. The delegates were welcomed by Advisor to the Executive Director of the Fund Valery Kantorov.
During the first day of the forum, presentations on the areas of cooperation between Moscow and Baku in the field of foreign policy were made. Then, the participants presented international and regional projects targeting integration of youth of both countries. The guests of the conference were introduced to programs and projects of the Gorchakov Fund.
On the second day of the program, the participants developed strategic ideas related to strengthening and development of a dialogue between the two countries. Key topics of the session “Youth for Economy – Economy for Youth” included prospects for economic cooperation as well as creation and development of joint small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The session “Peace in the Hands of Youth” was dedicated to development of public diplomacy and youth parliamentarism as well as mechanisms of cooperation among states and youth public organizations, exchange of experience.
Participants of the session “Keeping Traditions while Building the Future” reviewed an intercultural dialogue as a means of deepening youth cooperation, discussed preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
Specific proposals related to development of the Russian-Azerbaijani youth cooperation were developed in each of the groups. They were used as a basis for final resolution of the forum, a press service of the National Youth Council of Russia informs.
